SRVHS is the home of multiple award winning choirs - all under the direction of Mr. Ken Abrams. This year, the Concert Choir will be singing at the American Choral Director's Western Division Conference in Anaheim Feb 28, 2008. In 2007, for the first time ever, both the Chamber Singers and the Concert Choir took home the first place awards at the Golden State Choral Competition! In 2005, both the Concert Choir and the Treble Cleft Choir won first place. Concert Choir also took first place in 2001 and the Chamber Singers in 2002. The Chamber Singers, Concert Choir and Treble Clef have all received multiple "Unanimous Superior" awards from the Choral Music Educators Association (CMEA) at annual festivals. Touring is a highlight of the student's choir experience, and past years have seen the choir in Spain (2007), Australia and New Zealand (2004), the British Isles (2001), and Central Europe (1998). Domestic tours have included New Orleans, New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago and countless other US cities. Highlights of each year are made into an annual double CD recording.
