Free Access To MyRoad


Students who took the PSAT in 2005 have free access until they graduate to MyRoad, the College Board’s online college, major, and career exploration tool.

You will be able to access MyRoad’s wealth of major and career information, search for colleges, take personality-type assessments, and get firsthand perspectives from students and professionals currently working in their respective fields.

Creating a student account is easy. Students who took the PSAT/NMSQT and follow these steps will have access to MyRoad through high school. Note: This same account can also be sued to register for the SAT and to view and send SAT scores online.

Account registration requires that students provide the following information:

From the PSAT/NMSQT Score Report:
~ Name as it appears on the Score Report
~ The 10-character code that appears on the upper-right corner of the Score Report
*
E-mail address
*
Gender
*
Zip code
*
Birthday
*
High school graduation date
*
Username (student generated, 6-15 characters in length)
*
Password (also student generated, 7-15 characters; must contain at least one number)

To begin, please follow the directions for Creating a Student Account:
1:
Go to collegeboard.com/psatextra and click “Sign-In.”
   
2:
It is important that students follow instructions on this page closely.
 

~If a student already has a collegeboard.com account (to register for the SAT, sign up for the SAT Question of the Day, etc.), he or she can simply log in under the “Already a Member?” prompt, then continue to Step 5.

 

~If the student has never created a collegeboard.com account before, he or she should follow the “Not a Member Yet?” prompt, click “Sign Up,” and continue to step 3.

3:
If the student needs to continue the registration process, clicking “Sign Up” will open a new page.
 

~Students should choose “Student” in response and then click “Submit” to continue.

4:
Students will need to complete the required fields; these are marked with an asterisk (*).
 

~Once done, students should click “Submit” at the bottom of the page.

5:
On the PSAT/NMSQT Extra page, students should click on the MyRoad link, which will take them to the PSAT/NMSQT MyRoad Access Page.
   
6:
On this page, students will supply the following information as it appears on their PSAT/NMSQT Score Reports:
 

~Last Name

 

~10-character access code found on the upper-right corner of the PSAT/NMSQT Score Report.

7:
On the confirmation page, students should choose a school level and then click the ”Click to Continue” button.
   
8:
Students will be sent to the My Plan page of MyRoad to begin exploring majors, careers, and colleges.
